Our Mission
At P.A.C Community Cares, our mission is to enhance the well-being of our community by promoting literacy, providing access to fresh and nutritious food, and offering culturally rooted wellness programs. We are committed to empowering children and families through enriching experiences that foster learning, connection, and collective growth.

Ubuntu Farmers Market
The Ubuntu Farmers Market is a community-driven marketplace rooted in the spirit of Ubuntu, a South African philosophy meaning “I am because we are.” For over seven years, we’ve proudly supported local farmers, food growers, and small businesses in Dallas by providing a space to share fresh produce, delicious foods, homemade cookies, and handcrafted goods. Licensed by the City of Dallas, the market operates on the 1st and 3rd Sundays from March through December at the Pan-African Connection Bookstore & Resource Center. Our vendors range in age and experience—from youth entrepreneurs to seasoned business owners—creating a vibrant, welcoming environment for all. In addition to fresh food and unique vendors, the market features live music, cultural programming, and a community drum circle that begins at 3 PM.

Ubuntu Peoples Farm
Ubuntu Farmers Market
Ubuntu People’s Farm is a one-acre urban farm in Fort Worth, Texas, operated by PAC Community Cares. Rooted in food justice and community empowerment, the farm provides fresh, naturally grown produce to local families and teaches hands-on gardening skills through workshops and volunteer days.
Community African Drum Circle
The market takes place on the first and third Sundays of each month and features local farmers, small business owners, artists, and wellness practitioners. Ubuntu Farmers Market provides fresh produce, handmade goods, cultural products, and family-friendly activities—including live music, drum circles, and youth programming—all with a focus on health, empowerment, and economic sustainability for the community.
Cultural & Wellness Programs
PAC Community Cares provides free, year-round health and wellness programming focused on educating, empowering, and uplifting our community. Our offerings include gardening and hydroponics classes, health fairs, free produce giveaways, yoga and boxing sessions, mental health programs and natural hair care workshops for parents and children. Each event is rooted in accessibility, culture, and community, making wellness a shared and celebrated experience for all.
Every Sunday at 3:00 PM, PAC Community Cares hosts a powerful Community African Drum Circle at the Pan-African Connection Bookstore. Open to all ages and skill levels, this weekly gathering celebrates African culture, rhythm, and unity. Participants are invited to bring their own drums or use instruments provided as we come together through traditional African drumming, music, and collective energy.
